Today’s my birthday YAY!! I say yay but with most birthdays that have passed in the last few years, I haven’t felt a feeling of jubilation or celebration.

My journey to what a traditional ‘successful’ life should look like has been bumpy.

As you know by now there’s been a lot of reflection that’s been happening over here & lessons being learned.

Life lately has been a mix of so many things. I’m only just coming out of what feels like a two week self imposed hibernation. Not yet completely out of it but the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel is near. 

I really pressured myself to get this post out before the end of last year. I was like ‘this is what everyone does you know and that’s what you’re supposed to do right? When you have a blog? Make sure you get that last post of the year in before it’s too late?’

In the literary words of our dearly departed princess Aaliyah, we really be going back, back, forth & forth when it comes to learning life’s ever changing lessons. The struggle is real ya’ll!

Do you sometimes just take a step back and think ‘we’re the adults now?’
